Auger has attached flare to prevent loss of auger in case of accidental disconnect from drill. Testing with 18v 2 speed Lithium Ion cordless drill resulted in minimum of 25 holes drilled into 15in of ice with power to spare. For best results use 2 speed cordless drills with either low speed or high torque settings.
