The New Gold Standard in Gunmaking

The Classic Series represents a rare combination of craftsmanship and quality at an attractive price. All rifles in this series feature a stock crafted from American walnut, with wraparound checkering, high luster blued barreled actions, and the revolutionary AccuTrigger™.

Our Classic Series includes three models, each one subtly different from the others. The Classic features a satin lacquer stock with Monte Carlo comb and cheekpiece, and a hinged floorplate. The Euro Classic features a detachable box magazine, Monte Carlo stock with cheekpiece, and a traditional oil finish. The American Classic has a satin lacquer finish and the elegant lines of a traditional straight stock with a detachable box magazine. All three models provide the new straight line feeding system for consistent reliability.

We have added new aesthetic features to the Classic Series comparable to those found on rifles costing several times more. We introduced a jeweled bolt for a touch of elegance. The bolt release is now tucked away in front of the trigger guard for added convenience and a more streamlined appearance.

New for 2008, you will find the American Classic available in left hand, in both short and long action configurations.

Free-Floating Barrel

Hinged Floorplate
Savage’s new hinged floorplate is ergonomically correct — rounds empty out easily into one hand.
